Leading platform for the wood and furniture industry is growing stronger

This month, Hannover Fairs Mexico and the Jalisco Furniture Manufacturers’ Association (Afamjal) announced that MEM-Industrial and Tecno Mueble Internacional have merged to become the leading platform for the wood and furniture processing industry, consolidating the entire value chain, from the forestry sector, machinery and suppliers to Industry 4.0 technologies applied to the woodworking and furniture industry, all in one single place. The trade fair will take place from August 18 to 21 at Expo Guadalajara, Jalisco.

It has been through unity that Hannover Fairs Mexico and AFAMJAL found the best strategy to adapt to a new reality; one that completely changed our business model with the acceleration of the digital era; and another that involved the adoption of different technologies and sanitation and hygiene protocols that will allow us to ensure the health and safety of those participating in the event next August.

Thus, we are now more than ready to offer one of the best hybrid trade fairs in the country that will be an engine of economic reactivation for the industry; that is, one that will offer an ideal combination between the traditional physical format of B2B trade fairs and a digital conference program that will allow us to reach all the audiences that cannot attend the event in person.

For this edition, MEM Industrial – Tecno Mueble Internacional will welcome more than 5,000 professional buyers and more than 200 leading brands on 11,000 m² of exhibition space at Expo Guadalajara, one of the best venues in the country.

As for the content of the exhibition, we will emphasize 3 categories: sustainability, design and digitalization. The first will be to promote sustainability throughout the industry’s value chain, a theme with which we seek to endorse our commitment to the environment and progress towards the adoption of a circular economy.

Another theme will be the role of Mexican design and creativity, essential qualities with which our country and our vast pool of young talent will be able to strengthen its leading role as a benchmark for quality and global innovation in the furniture industry.

In this sense, for the second time, we will celebrate the Makers for good make-a-ton @MEM-TMI 2021, whose slogan this year will be “Reinventing the furniture industry”, an international challenge where creators, innovators, designers, engineers and creatives from different disciplines will have access to tools, resources, materials and advice that will allow them to design innovative products, as well as different solutions for the wood and furniture processing industry.

Finally, we will highlight the importance of Industry 4.0 in the industry through our conference program. Following the acceleration of digitalization due to the arrival of the current health situation, this topic will be essential for the industry to acquire the necessary knowledge to adopt these technologies and thus compete in the most dynamic global markets.

Pre-registration for MEM-TMI 2021, which will take place August 18-21 at Expo Guadalajara, is free and can be accessed via our website: www.memindustrial.mx.
